TestWatch vs Momentic
Both write end-to-end tests from plain English and keep them working when the UI changes. Momentic stores tests as YAML and prices by credits per step; TestWatch writes Playwright code and prices by test, with runs included.
Facts about Momentic come from its own site, checked 2026-10-04. TestWatch facts are as of 21 October 2026. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we fix it.
The short version
- Choose Momentic if
You test native Android or iOS apps or need SMS one-time codes. It also costs less for a mid-sized suite that runs once a day (see the table).
- Choose TestWatch if
You want standard Playwright code from day one, runs that don’t cost more the more often you run, and fixes that wait for your approval. Starter includes 30 tests and 2,500 runs a month.
Side by side
| Momentic | TestWatch | |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | Credits: 1 per step, 2 for an AI step | Tests; runs are included |
| Free plan | 2,000 credits a month (about 200 runs, their estimate) | 5 tests, 500 runs a month, one daily schedule |
| Paid entry | $125 a month for 10,000 credits, then $0.01875 a credit | $99 a month: 30 tests, 2,500 runs |
| Fixing a broken test | Self-healing steps are charged as AI steps: 2 credits a step | Included in the plan price, within the daily safety limit; never billed |
| AI at run time | Replays cached steps without the LLM; falls back to AI when the cache misses | None on passing runs. A failed run’s scrubbed error and page snapshot go to AI to explain it |
| What a test is | Human-readable YAML in your codebase; no exporter (one-time eject to Playwright for Enterprise at contract end) | Playwright code you can read and copy; export the whole suite as a Playwright project |
| Platforms | Hosted browsers, Android emulators and iOS simulators | Web: desktop and mobile Chrome, mobile and desktop Safari (emulated) |
| One-time codes | Email inboxes and SMS numbers | Authenticator-app (TOTP) 2FA, and emailed codes and links through built-in test inboxes. No SMS codes |
| Triggers | Every pull request and deploy, from CI | Schedules and manual runs on every plan. From Starter: GitHub Action, CLI, REST API and signed deploy hooks |
What it costs at three sizes

| 50 tests, once a day (about 1,500 runs a month) | $219 | Team, $299 | Momentic |
| 30 tests, every hour (about 21,600 runs a month) | $3,988 | Enterprise, from $799 | — |
Momentic also charges credits for hosted browser minutes and optional failure classification; we left those out, so its real numbers can be higher.
Moving from Momentic
Each Momentic test starts from a plain-English description, which is what TestWatch starts from too. Paste the description into a new test, add a test account if the flow logs in, and review the Playwright code it writes.
How we compared
We read Momentic’s public home, pricing and documentation pages on 2026-10-04 and linked every fact to its page. Prices are list prices without tax. We don’t have access to their product, so anything not on those pages isn’t here.
